The Cathay Restaurant
The Cathay Restaurant @ the Cathay, was introduce by my friend when she went there for lunch. The food was nice indeed. Its give more perks by having 20% discount during Mon - Fri during lunch time
Steamed Yolk Cream Bun ($4.20).
Very yummy, the cream simply flow out when u open it, its taste abit buttery
Steamed Fresh Prawn Dumpling ($5.20).
The prawn was huge in it
Century Egg Porridge ($5) with shredded chicken,
Very thick and sticky type of porridge and tasty
Steamed Rice Roll with Crispy Fritters ($4.20).
zhu chang fen with fried dough fritters (basically its the crispy popiah skin in it).
The sauce taste like soya sauce but not too salty.
Deep Fried Beanskin Roll ($4.80)
Very crisy and tasty... Not too strong taste, yet can feel the crunch.
XO Fried Carrot Cake ($10.00)
Its like those carrot cake we had at hawker but much tasty, Not much of the XO, but just simply cant stop eating this.
Steam Siew mai ($5.20)
Its not so meaty taste like what we usually have, but nothing much special
Deep Fried Spring Roll ($4.20)
It is super crispy, its specially for vegetarian. Dong fen was within the crispy skin, its abit tasteless, althg it was given a special sauce for us
Pan-Fried Gyoza ($4.20)
Its very tasty, crisy and taste nice, highly recommended
Baked Mini Egg Tart ($4.20)
I love this alot, very nice egg tart, really mini, trust me, 3 is not enough for 3 person, the outer layer of the egg tart is crispy and the tart inside is soft.
